01 About the brand
PASMAN, and what the name is on
A bag company that started in 2018 and has spent the years since on one narrow problem: how a working day is carried.
Look at what a person leaves the house with on a Tuesday and it is rarely one thing. It is a laptop, a lunch, a bottle, a badge, and a set of keys that will scratch whatever they are put next to. For years the answer was two bags, and the second one spent the commute on the floor of the car. PASMAN exists because that is a solvable problem, and solving it is mostly a question of where the walls go.
What we make
Six kinds of bag, and they are all versions of the same idea. Structured work totes with a padded wall for a laptop and a base stiff enough to stand up. Lunch totes with a lined, welded tray across the bottom so food travels in a room of its own. Quilted puffer totes that weigh almost nothing and square up when you load them. Beach totes that let sand leave. Folding carts on wheels for the load nobody should be carrying by the handles. And the small carry, a wristlet and a sling, for the day with no laptop in it.
Who it is for
Teachers, nurses, students, anyone whose day has a shift in it and a lunch to bring. It shows in the details more than in the marketing: badge pockets at standing height, side pockets cut for a 40 oz tumbler rather than a slim water bottle, linings that are welded rather than stitched because the spill happens on hour ten and not hour one.
What we do differently
Three things, and each one costs something. The laptop sleeve is against the back panel, not in the middle, so a screen leans on your spine instead of your keys, which makes the bag deeper than a plain tote. The lunch compartment is welded, which is slower to make than a stitched liner and is the only version that keeps a leak out of the electronics. And the capacity is printed in litres beside every size, because "roomy" is not a measurement and a person deciding between two bags deserves a number.
What we will not tell you
That an insulated bag keeps food safe on its own. It does not refrigerate, and the federal guidance is plain about what holds the line: the bag plus at least two cold sources. The figures are on our updates page. That is the sort of claim that would sell a lunch tote and it is not one we are going to make.
Where to buy
Through our retail partner. This site is the catalogue: the measurements, the capacities in litres, the colourways that are live, and the current price on every card. The button opens the listing.
The shelves themselves start here: work totes, lunch bags, puffer totes, beach bags, rolling carts, wristlets & slings.
Questions
Questions about PASMAN itself
Who we are and what the name is on. the PASMAN project answers these more often than anything about a zip.
What does PASMAN make?
Bags for a working day: structured work totes with a padded laptop wall, insulated lunch totes, quilted puffer bags, beach totes and folding grocery carts on wheels.
How long has PASMAN been around?
Since 2018.
Is PASMAN a US brand?
The range is sold in the United States and this catalogue is written for that market, in inches and dollars, with litres printed beside the capacities because that is how the bags are specified.
Where does PASMAN sell?
Through a retail partner. This site is the catalogue: it carries the measurements, the capacities and the current price, and the buying button opens the live listing.
What does the name PASMAN mean on a bag?
In practice it means a padded wall for the laptop, a lined tray for the lunch, and a pocket at the height your hand already reaches. Those three things are in almost everything we make.
